I'm going to be replacing my brake pads(front), I've replaced many pads on various vehicles over the years is there any thing I need to watch out for when I replace them on the Magna any tricks I should know about?

#1 dont buy your pads from k-mart

#3 pat yourself on the back, a job well done

fronts are easy, the same as most cars
the rear how ever are slightly diffrent to do on a first gen
heres what to do with the rear breaks when u need to do them later on
take some fluid outa the break fluid tank
jack up
wheel off
need to take off hand break cable off the caliper (losing it in the car first)
then take both bolts off the caliper
take caliper off the disk
take old pads out
The pistons here WIND in they DONOT compress
make sure u wind them in a full circle or else the pad wont go on properly
put the other side pad on
bolt the caliper back on attach hand break cable
tighting hand break cable
wheel back on
jack down
fill the brake fluid tank back up (calling it a tank because i cant spell resofwa or whatever..... )
push pedal in car down a few times till its firm again before starting the car
drive carefuly for around 50-100 km to bed them in

i done my rear break shoes about 8 months ago no different from any other car
Do you have rear drums or something?? i though the term shoes is to describe the
'brake pad' from a drum?
