I am about to register a 1991 TP executive wagon it is efi with standard 85amp alt. I am wondering if the alt is big enough to power spotlights as well or if it needs to be that big to opperate ecu and so on. thanks Andy.

you should be fine so long as there not really high powered spoties

Stock BOSCH alternator is enough if you drive normally, not 100% night driving only
with all the lights blaring away. Keep your eye on the voltmeter...

When you next replace your battery, buy the biggest one that wil fit.
Get the one the Elite/Elante uses.
