hey...
sub boxes aren't just randomly sized boxes u whack together. What sub do you have? what type of box do u want? ported, sealed, bandpass? 6th order bandpass? :P What do you want from your sub in terms or response, volumes, etc..you making it by yourself? pro?
too many things to consider...
You're asking the same thing as "how heavy is a ball of blue fluff"

I like that :bowrofl:
Its an old MTX 750 watts thats in a cr@ppy box now that is made from chipboard
36cm-40cm-47cm
one of my mates gave it to me as he was updating his whole system
I just want something that will sound good at most levels of volume and give good bass, nothing to intense

Can you give a model number please? Dam that is like a 2.2 - 2.4cuft enclosure. Was it ported or sealed?

Have a look at any of the papers that came with the sub. Usually there is paper that tells you the specifications for a box for that sub.

Dude i would probably go for 1.25 - 1.5 cuft sealed, 18mm MDF. Definately not bandpass as we can recommend you sizes but we wont really be able to tell you what they will be like and they are less forgiving then sealed. That is unless you want a few more db then maybe a ported box.
How much room do you have in the celica? Do you want sealed or ported? All woofers aren't created equal. It is not a bad woofer, there are just better.

probly a ported one
The boot is deaper but not as tall as the magnas
I also have to fit 2 10" and 2 8" in there as well, Im gunna put the 6/9s in the rear deck and the 6"s up front
Do you think 3 500 watt amps will do it or should i get another one
Should be interesting

Why do you want a 12inch sub when you have 2x 10's? Big no no. And wherre did the 2x8inchers come from.
You are best to use the 8inch in the front doors with your 6incher to have like a 3way split system and use either the 12 or the 2x10's.
