View Full Version : new interior :D
the first half of the interior makeover - leather :D seats and door trims. First time ever playing with the doors so the whole process of the day was about 6 hours. My back hurts :'(
Anyway, first two pics are of the old seats/doors.

I think thats enough. Hope the pics arent too big. The cameras flash makes them a little bit lighter than they are - inside the car, its all pitch black :D And yes my car needs a wash.
Oh the next half - ive got a new console dash kit coming in... brushed aluminium (that darker tinge of silver) so that will clean up the power window arms and front console etc. :D Thats due to arrive early next week. I shall keep u updated :)

Do you mean they are covers over the old material??
yerp.
pretty good for covers and at fraction of the price that looks like actualy seating. but they fit well cause theyre custom for your magna and the specific series.

is it possible to get with inserts? like blue or red or white or watever instead of just black?
ill pop this up - cause a few of u are asking :|
theydo make them, so for you to request, say a strip of red or blue down the centre they would most likely have no probs doing it.

Very nice! I'd love to see some details... ie; who makes them, how much etc etc.. very tidy though! Looks sh!t hot! Well done :D
-- Horgz
hehe keen ones.. ;)
Well theres no website, and prices range, depending on what u need.. 2 fronts , just rear, or a complete set, or if you want to buy extra material... all prices you will need to ask them:
Ultimate Auto Trim [ultimateautotrim@yahoo.com.au]
expect to pay around 400-500 for a full complete set with extras etc. But dont quote me on that, it might be cheaper / more expensive for what u want (my altera - they had to go out and take specific measurments), so yer... give em a shot :)
but yersh, i think they have a website coming soon, so until then email.

(Hi, first time poster, long time reader, new owner of a Magna Exec TH)
Wow, I've been looking at mods for my magna since I bought it. This is by far my favorite now (outstripping the parabolics). I came across this thread earlier and found another by the guy who actually makes them.. but I can't find it anymore.
Has anyone got some more pics / experience of these things or similar products? I've seen the sheepskin covers at supercheap but these ones look so much better.
I'm guessing he was banned because he was advertising his company on here?

Heh, I think it's terrible pic. When I registered I went through my pics looking for an avatar and couldn't find a good one so I dashed outside at like 5 pm and took one, resized it and edited it in PSP and wallah
I'll have to get one in sunlight, like rustys :)

I was worried about that, I can't quite tell from the pics though. Surely it wouldn't be that hard to get a seperate cover for that bit though.

yes you right she has to turn around the front head rest from front to back one, ehhehe
ehhe yer they were told not to post ads on here :P
and the skihole.. is the best... in the photo.. its actually closed up.. theres a strip that has black zips down the side of the middle rear seat - unzip them and u can open your hatch up (the arm rest that comes out also has a cover)... very nifty.. i was wondering how they were going to do it.
ahahha yer.. they called me up yesterday saying i put them on backwards.. larf.. sif i knew :| ill have to change em over :P
Edit* ill take another photo with the ski hole open and my sexy 12" poking through ;)

i shall try to take a pic of the hatch... but ur gonna have to be more specific...
Iceman: booyas are teh pro quality ;) offer me those and ill take it, but these will do for those of us who earn $9 an hour a woolies ;P
I wouldnt mind some pics of the the back of the seats down the bottom, and the side of the seats near the seat-adjust knobs? On my material seat covers the cover goes over those seat-adjust knobs... and the back of the seat cover is not very tight.
Are there any bits you don't like about it - or does it fit perfectly?
Was it easy to fit to the seats? Did you have to remove the seats from the car to fit, or just slide over?

Easy to fit.. does get quote tough at some parts.. gotta put a lot of effort into getting it deep and snug (:P)... putting covers on took me about ... 40 mins... 30mins of that was doing the back seat.. cause my TE rear seats dont fold down... so it was a pain in the bum.. but at the base corners (where back meets the bum part) on the sides... is the most troublesom.. cause my seats were firmly in place... but a little shove and push of the material into the crease.. and u cant tell :P yer im a chick so that makes me weak... so if i did it.. you can ;)
door trimmings took a few hours for me.. was my first time touching the doors - and i did it all properly.
and nah, i didnt remove the seats at all. you dont really need to... just get in a good position where u can push the covers on hard :) i climbed all around on top of the front seats to use my body weight to press the covers on tightly. the seat controls on front seats.. the ones down the sides arent affected.. theres a piece of leather that fits just right, and you can nestle it between the seat and the leavers. The other leaver (on the actually side of the chair.. much higher up) - is covered, but not a biggie i dont think... the leaver was covered with my old covers and i didnt even know it existed.. can be that important :)
like i said.. ill try to get some pics of the hatch this weekend..
im waiting for someone to get white / cream covers.. i was sooo tempted.. but didnt want to risk it :|
I wonder what two colour seat covers would be like (eg: http://www.fastmagna.com/gallery/Wtchme-Magna/inside7 )

some pics from outside the car with the doors open so we can see more of the seats would be cool, a couple of more detailed shots of the ski port would also be sweet. Do they fit tightly, wen u sit down do they move like cheap seat covers
good point mattstar - my cheap seat covers over time end up skewed and pull down the side of the seat. Wonder if these ones stay nice and tight, and in-place?

these are still photos left over from when i took them before... yer yer hatch as soon as i remeber during daylight hours.

Nah I have proper leather in mine but the owners before me didn't take the best care of it so it looks a little worn. Whereas those covers look brand spanking new..

gotta love pleather.
get the look, but none of the wear issues (but you miss out on that most sexy leather smell in the car)
im just wondering do the covers move around on the seat at all?
and also, is your body now more inclined to slide around in the seat?
its all about performance ! :p

Now i am not sure if they are leather or not.....
From what I'm told, some bits are, some bits aren't. I asked if they were like most sheepskin covers. You know, sheepskin on the bit you sit on and fake fur just for looks on the back. But I didn't really get a conclusive answer. At a guess I'd say some bits are, the colored insert's aren't.
Maybe Dee can give us a hint?
