Hey there, still trying to decide on what car to purchace here... very confused....
I lreally am into the verada before the newest models interior:
* leathers, woodgrain, sun roof, power everything etc etc

Now the only thing i am not too keen on is the boot! the stupid ugly Silver stuff around the rear plate, its horrible and looks way to american!
anyway..

what i was wondering is... i have been reading heaps about modding stuff from one model to the next... eg.. putting seats front and back from a verada into a standard magna, etc.

Now since i dont really know too much about this i have a question.. Are the Standard magna (think it is TJ- the nice looking model) and Veradas the same except for a few cosmetic things such as different front bar grill boot? and Can you just grab the same parrts say a boot off a standard TJ and replace the verada one? can you also do this to the front and rear bars.. i am talking putting body kit on it.

If all the questions are pointing towards the yeah its all cool.... i shall have a verada by months end...

so all help is very appreciated

summary: can you put verada bits onto a standard?

so long as you're dealing with the same models then the parts are interchangable. That is, KJ verada bits will fit straight on to a TJ magna, KH verada = TH magna, and so on.

If you want a verada feel inside but don't like the exterior I reckon you're better off buying a verada and bolting magna bits onto it rather than trying to fit verada bits inside a regular magna. I've heard those genuine mitsubishi leather seats are pricey.

I got a full Verada leather interior in my TJ, everything bolted in sweet. You get cool rear head-rests which are Verada only. Only problem was power to the electric drivers seat and rear reading lights. Current models got electric standard.

Did you get the seats from a wreckers or buy direct from mitsu? What did it set you back?

might be cheaper to buy a verada and swap boot garnish to magna boot garnish.

No way buy it new! I got at the wreckers - seats, console, door trims and chrome handles. I got a special price. :) Saw the car it came from too. Not a bad smash no one hurt.

yeah but the TJ's are the more Macho looking of the two - the softer looking TL is admirable in many ways, particularly technical and equipment, but its what designers call a feminine shape. I mean I like it for what it is - its sleek in its own way, but I wouldn't own it / drive it. In my opinion TJ's rule till we see what's up with the replacement car.

Oh and of course the catch with the Verada and all its goodies is weight.... they're fat! Hmmmmmm.....
