Hey guys,

Well in my car (98 verada ei) on the passenger side door and on one of the rear doors inside where the power window button is, the surrounds of it are fading, like the black is fading off it so i was wondering has this happened to anyone else b4 and if it has or if you know what should i use to touch it up again ?

Anndd.. my car has a sunroof but the roof at the back of the car is falling down. Its a ***** ive tried heaps of things. Like the velcro is still sticking to eachother and the material of the roof but not the top of the roof (if u understand me lol) ive used kwik grip that kinda holds it but it still manages 2 fall abit..

Any help thanks alot

Ciao

You mean the black paint rubbing off? If you got the brown plastic surrounds strip it with turps or a polishing wheel. You get a glossy dioreha brown, which looks like woodgrain without the pattern. Don't sand cause that makes it dull.

nah.. that brown is terrible. mine are in really bad nick too, but ive got some part of a dash kit that will replace it. ..

they're easy enough to remove, and a decent black spray (or whatever color to suit interior) would make them look 100 times better... however you would loose the writing ... i spose you could get some of those transferable letters that you rub on, and it would turn out pretty shick. .. but i dont know if newsagents sell them anymore (i was in primary last time i used them).

repaint but all depends on what finish u want, get some black car touchup paint, prep it all properly then a few layers then clearcoat it to protect it

and u say the roof at the back is falling down? do u mean the roof lining (the fabric that covers the roof) best way i could see u fixing that is take roof liner out pull back the material, use some spray on adhesive (3M stuff is prety good) spray up down thin and evenly let it tack for about a minute then left to right let that tack for another minutre then another up n down pass then let that take for about 3 minute then push the faric back down and try hold it down for about 5 minute
