Hey, clarky rubber has some thick rubber boot mats for $30 down from like $75-80. You just cut to shape. I got one yesterday and the back is much quieter ie. suspension, road noise etc. However it might just be me thinking it's quieter....

I thought I post here in case any you guys were thinking of using that sound deadener stuff instead. This would be much easier, probably cheaper and much cleaner.

ok bye

Yes you're 'not hearing things' as such - I found the same thing when I fitted a Mitsu moulded mat to mine - whole car was much quieter

That one looks way better than the one I bought. Mine has lots of 'cut lines' so that you can mould it to fit your trunk. So I placed it underneath the boot carpet so it's hidden, the main reason being I only bought it to sound deaden.

Ralliart-AKKO - How much was the mitsu mat you bought? Could be very useful (as I carry a LOT) of cr@p in the boot for outside broadcasts etc.

Yup thats the one. :D

In addition, attaching some foam to the underside of the spare wheel cover should help supress a little more road noise if thats what you're trying to achieve.
