Check your manual first for the answer if not i wouldnt stuff around i would get it to mitsubishi to be checked.. After all its ur brakes..
P.S. You arent be stupid are you like doing handbrakies or anything at the time..???
could just have water or somthing in it, or u could have a broken cv which has put grease all over it
nah no handbrakes its been like this since i put the new gearbox in it cant be the cvs either coz they got refitted and new boots on them and was all installed properly so i dunno.. i tried resetting to no effect seems to have lost fair bit of braking power in process

could be a dirty tone wheel or sensor on the front wheels, a bad signal will give an abs fault,
did you bleed your brakes while you were doing the engine work? if you did then it might pay to have them re-bleed with the abs connected to a diagnostic comp. Some abs systems have to be in a service mode to be bleed.
Probably best to take it to a mechanic who has the diagnostic gear, this will tell straight away which curcuit has the bad signal or fault.

Check that the sensors have all been plugged back in around thr gear box and front wheel hubs.....
where are the actual sensors i have traced it from abs unit down to a wire thing but is it the lil bit hanging off the black wire/cable thingy? i think might get a toothbrush out and do some scrubbing tomorrow thankx heaps guys much appreciated
with abs i would just leave it to the experts, wouldnt want it to stuff up on you

the sensors fit on to the wheel knucle/hub, when u look behind the disc u should be able to see it oppisite side to the caliper.
u say u removed the driveshafts, when u remove driveshafts from vehicles fitted with ABS espicially fwd u should remove the sensor first because the sensor site fairly close to the CV and when u are wiggling the driveshaft around to get it out of the hub it can touch the end of the sensor therefore damaging it.
