Hey guys...
I currently own a 2002 Magna Advance, and am planning to put mags on it. The problem is, I've heard to put 17" mags on a TJ, you have to do something to the steering, but I'm unsure what exactly it is that has to be done.
I'm asking because my cousin works for a well known tyre dealership in Brisbane, and can get me 4 new Toyo tyres, plus the 4 mags fitted for $1000. Too good an offer to pass up. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

:stoopid: I'm sure nothing has to be done. Just wack them on.

Mitsubishi put out a bulletin to it's spare parts advising them not to sell 17" rims unless thats what the car originally came with. Might be an idea to talk to your local spare parts depo about it. The factory preset rear camber is different between 15" and 16" models. Not sure about 17" ones and front suspension.

That's correct but as there is adjustment in the rear camber to a certain degree it makes no difference.

I have 17's on mine just wack em on but get a full 4 wheel alinement not just a 2 wheel one

Yeah I know, I got 17" chromies, but I love those Enkei's that funky_fresian_cows got. Just wondering did you had to pay anything near retail for those?

I have a KF Verada with 18's and is 4 inch lowered. No problems.
I got a camber kit put in the rear to increase the minimal factory adjustment.
see: It is all about the look not the handling on mine.

Not a year and a half ago it wasn't. They were just sitting there on the floor of the spare parts office of Castle Hill Mitsubishi (No longer in existence) priced at a measly $600 for a set

Well TJ sports came with 16's, and I have 17's off a TL VRX and is lowered 40mm with no probs here. I think someone may be having a lend of you.
