Ok, basically in an auto a shift kit is just a little resistor that tells the transmission to shift harder than normal. This is usually determined by how much throttle you're giving the car (send a signal saying your flogging it, shift abit firmer, or if you're just driving gently it'll shift alot softer). The resistor just makes the shift more firmer than normal. It's suppose to stop the gear change lagging (cause of the 1st to 2nd flat spot in our auto boxes). I will eventually try this, but i need someone to post up a gregories of the transmission ECU ports so that i can determine which one to put the resistor onto.
