Hi there. Recently bought a TS wagon, and have issues with the spedo. It reads 10 - 15 kms low. At rest, the needle for it sits where -12 or so should be. I assume it is supposed to sit at 0 at rest. Does anyone know how to fix it? I know how to remove the instrument cluster, just dont know where to go from there. Thanks

Do you have standard wheels on it..?????

yeah, as far as i know they are standard wheels. Its just that when it is indicated 70, it feels like 80, plus if I do 70 (indicated) in the 80 zones, i go slightly faster than everybody. Plus, as stated in previous message, at rest, the needle sits where -10 or -15 should be

My opinion, just get it fixed if you can't do it yourself, because:

1.You don't want to stuff up your car or risk doing anything with it.

2. If you get a speeding ticket and say that your speedometer was not calibrated properly, the police don't give a damn because they say that it's your responsibility.

Hmmm, take the instrument cluster with gauges off, or even just open the front transparent cover, and use your fingers to push the needle up a bit. Do it when the car is off. This used to be the trick on old cars, it may work here too....

Yeah, I tried that, but the needle just floated down. To fix it, i just carefully pulled the needle off, and pushed it back on where 0 is. The problem is now solved. (doesm about 50 at indicated 50, so im happy)

Hey, it reads right, as I got my dad in his new bommadore to follow behind me when I was doing 50, and his was showing up as 50, so its good enough for me

Is there anyone in NSW with a GPS that could offer to check the actual speed for this person, this is the most accurate way of checking the true speed.
