Since I have never installed extractors myself I decided to give it a go and after around 6 hours messing around I got them in. By the end of it I was over the limit so my mate took me out for a few hours and we were both quite happy.

Been feeling sick all day but tonight I'm gonna take her in to see how I like. ECU should have adjusted itself a bit now. One thing we did notice is fuel economy is up.

Wish me luck!

Good Luck Just watch that economy when you push the throttle. It will climb quickly. Have you got a full exhaust?

What brand extractors did u get.

I heard that the Pacemakers have to be welded on, if this is true how did u fit them.

Unless u got the RPW ones then i guess it must have been a bolt-on without welding.

i have never seen any extractors that have needed to be welded on

as far as i know all extractors are bolted onto the heads but yeh as already mentioned watch your fuel ecomony when you start to push down that right foot

I meant the part that needed to be welded was the part where the extractors meet up with the rest of the exhaust just before the Cat.

Would be a pretty dodgy design if any exhaust system install needed welding *on* the car. Everything should just bolt on with simple hand tools.

lol..

what needs to be done is i think the flex pipe needs to be cut and welded back together because the pace makers are longer than the orginals

They're Pacemakers and I had to cut just before the flex pipe and weld a flange on. Wasn't very hard. Only real problem I had was the oxygen sensor nut didn't wanna come off so I cut and then just reconnected when done.

I also had a Redback rear muffler but it's sound has become a little deeper, quite happy with the sound. It did suprise me though that when I took it for a drive I could notice a bit of improvement. It pulls more consistantly now to redline so it's been a very good value mod. :D

Do you have your own welding machine or did a friend have one.

I want to get extractors but i would like to do it myself but the cutting and welding would be a slight problem as i dont have anything to cut the flex pipe and weld it back on with.

You should have disconnected the oxy sensor under the console, cutting and rejoining it is not the way to go.

Besides that well done, I guess I will not be expecting you over to do this lol

You can do that? Damn, lol. IT's working though, that's the main thing.

Guess you won't be seeing me...Not this time. :P
