trying to narrow down whats causing my steering wheel to vibrate when i break, i took one of my wheels off and noticed a slight grinded bit along my breaks, not sure if this is normal or not but it would make sense if this is what causing my steering to vibrate like mad

those grind marks normally occur if your wheels are too small, so are touching your calipers.

Vibration during braking normally means your discs are warped.

You will find its probably the rear discs causing the vibration. Get them machined or get new non-mitsubishi discs. Also while off get the hubs checked (were out on my old car).

it maybe possible that the pads on the rear have are burnt to the brim, not sure, last time i checked they had 70 percent wear left on em around 8 months ago.

its a fault and its starting to **** me off quite badly, have to wait for my dad to come home cause my mechanical skillz are pretty much limited to checking the oil n changing a tyre :/

guys and girls don't mean to be rude but look which way those marks are...they are running across the cailper not with the cailper, They are just grind marks left from when they
machined them after casting the cailper.....

check your front and rear disc's for warping....

To add to this, rubbing wear marks would be shiny.

ah true...anyways we rotated the tyres around to make the most of them and hte problem isnt as bad as it use to be, me thinks tyres are out of alignment.

Check that the calipers are not loose, but sounds like rotors are warped.

I'd get an alignment... a.....lthough my Mitsub dealer replaced my driveshaft and claimed no wheel allignment was required...... I guess the tyre wear was from spending too much time on two wheels eh? I'd get one anyway...
