Just thought I would post first pics of my boot install. Is basic but sounds good. Hope you all like!
hmm...nice looking prefab box. How is ventilation to your amps that are tightly shoved between the sub box and back seat? What are u running? I think you should show off your shiney chrome amp lol. Also...you didn't get an audioline wiring kit by any chance did you?
clean, neat and simple... :)

Back on topic... Slickth have you noticed any phasing issues firing forward through the ski-port? Bass not as loud as it should be?
How's the boot/car for rattles?
Peace

Glad you asked that question coz yeah I have found in some tunes its not as loud as I would have expected. what are you thoughts on placing it the other way around. I have not really played around with it. No its not a AL wiring kit. My mates ask me that question coz of the red RCA's. Its actually a cadence competition wiring kit I was bluffed into buying and realized I have been bent over and let the dude @ JB have his way with me

And looks like he liked it ;)
yeah firing through the ski port isnt the best, it defies what u would expect as the waves bounce off the back of the boot and cause destructive interference with the waves already moving forward as they are out of phase. (A peak and a trough cancel out) To double check this find the song that causes it and flip ur boot open halfway through, see if you notice any difference.
Best bet is to spin it around. Play around with different distances from the boot, usually the closer you get it to the back of the boot the better, but not always the case.
The best way to get good results firing through the ski port is to totally seal it off from the boot. (very hard to do as you have to seal off the seats etc as well
Peace
Tim
