Hey tc, no idea what thread i read it in, yet i read sometihng about u making an adapter plate for the xf 4.1L webber to the magna 2.6 astron 1st gen manifold for $40, ....can u find out how much it would be to send it to NSW 2222, if its not to much for postage i may be interrested thanks

it's not that simple. u need the intake manifold aswell. wat we did was make the adapter plate suit the bottom of the XF weber carb. then we bolted the adapter plate onto the intake manifold and thats wen we FLOWED the adapter plate to the intake manifold.
the holes from the weber carb overlap the ones on the magna intake manifold. the primaries pretty much suit straight up but the secondarys are heaps bigger and so u need to die grind into the intake manifold abit to make the hole bigger.
so if u wanted, we might be able to make up an adapter plate but u will still have to take the intake manifold off completely, bolt up the adapter plate then flow the intake manifold to the adapter plate... then bolt on the carby. it isnt an easy swap, ready to go sorta thing.
the adapter plate takes along time to make in itself. at least 2 or 3 days of solid work and it's hard to do around uni etc...
TC can comment on it more but i was there while he was making it for mine and i know exactly wat has to be done.

HMM, OK ILL TAKE A CRUISE AROUND CARBY SHOPS AND SEE IF I CAN FIND A WEBBER TO SIGMA MANIFOLD PLATE, I HERD THAT THESE ARE COMMON IN SOME PLACES. sorry bout the caprs yet no time to correct it

there was alot of die grinding, mainly cos i sux with teh oxy :disgusted:

hmm so i pretty much need to cut out the hole in my manifold a bit bigger?

you cant cut it, you will need a die grinder with a carbon steel bit on the end to flow it out
