 i ended up pullin it out gave me the ****s never worked right and even if it did it would have riped it out soon enough
which one are you talkin about tho the one that displays the air fuel ratio mixture as well as the mixture display or just the mixture display kit, ive got the last one and it never worked right so the booklet said to replace the chip which i did and it kinda worked how it was ment to but still crappy

i had a try of one of those jaycar kits for my car but none of them work because the oxygen sensor on our engines uses a frequency based signal and the MAF sensor on our cars also uses a different type of signal to that wanted by the kits jaycar sells. Really iritating isnt it.

If your talking about the Jaycar air/fuel mixture display kit which costs about $25 and has about 8 small coloured leds and connects to the oxy sensor, then I built one from a kit and its been in my car for about a year and is working well. The output from the oxy sensor is voltage based and varies between 0 and 0.7 volts. It is not frequency based, though the engine ECU does cycle the A/F ratio between rich and lean about 2 times per second so the display will also cycle between rich and lean.

If you are talking about the recent Jaycar Interceptor which modifies the output from the mass airflow sensor in the air intake, and costs about $80 then that is entirely different and enables the A/F ratio to be re-mapped when in open loop mode, that is under wide throttle opening condition.

Sorry I've been away for a week. I have a TJ so I'm not familiar with the 2.6 airflow measuring system. The Jaycar/ Autospeed kit is designed to work with an airflow measuring system (MAS) inline with the air intake, with voltage out rather than frequency out. The later Magnas are a frequency output.
The unit (if suitable) then needs to be mapped for your engine, once fitted.
