What is your budget dude? What music are you into? For the RRP of a W3v2 why not try something like a:

Boston G2
Hertz HX
Vibe Blackair
DD 2500
IDQ

Splits go for
Boston FS-60
Hertz HSK 165
PG 6.5comp
Vibe ST-60

These will sound lots better for the same or a little more money. :D

hmmm well i just did a bit of reading up about that www.aussiecaraudio.com site. Well that name is very misleading, they aren't ***in Aussie at all! Based in Indonesia so the products get shipped from there, hence why the prices are so cheap. But absolutely no mention on the site that they are based overseas
Apparently a lawsuit is being brought against them :eh:

Tim-E is 100% correct, for a further arguement see this topic on CAA (http://www.caraudioaustralia.com/forums/showthread.php?t=45098)

and keep the profits in the Australian markets as well, think of it as a 'donation' to an aussie battler

for what its worth, last week i got my alpine amp and sub for very close to the same prices listed on that site. And haggling with the Northfield staff was probably more fun :D

I bought 1 unit Pioneer DEH-P7750MP about 2 weeks ago from them, received the unit 1 week later.
shipment straight to my door without "hidden fees" (We can track the item online coz they provide the tracking number)
The unit looks brand new (i hope so :D ) and I will install it very soon within days (hopefully this weekend).

I ll post some feedback once the unit has been installed soon.

  After 6mths. saving I've just paid them on Friday for a H/U.

I've got some sympathy for the whole " buy in Oz" argument, but they're just so CHEAP!!

I'm paying $700 delivered for a $1300 RRP unit. Even if customs gouges me ( which they warn about) it's only an extra $100. Fingers crossed about warranty. :)

I saw them on e-bay and the prices there are cheaper than their website. I am keen to buy something from them but a little concerned about their warranty arrangements. They don't exactly state that is covered by the manufacturer. You can return it if it's f@#ked on delivery, but nothing about if it dies in a few months.

How did you pay for it ? Bank deposit? PayPal ?? Did you get a bill from customs ??

Your systems don't include a sub til you pay 2k without labour??
Or rear speakers until you pay 10k?

I think you need something for the middle man :)

So the cost could be up to $800? I reckon there is a good chance you could go to somewhere like JB hi-fi and bargain the price down to something like that, from a RRP of $1300.

True that !! I just got the unit I wanted from JB Hifi for pretty much the same money as from Indonesia, and this one comes with warranty :D
Strathfield wouldn't budge on the price, but JB knocked it down from $569 to $395 with one mention of 'Aussie Car Audio'. Made me a happy man :D
