Yo KB, you remember how you were telling me you tightened your throttle cable? should the pedal feel pretty stiff when you push on it? cuz i drove my mates VP II commodore today and the pedal was really tight, you could feel the tension, whereas in my car you can barely feel it tensing at all. is this a magna thing or could mine need tightening and how?

There must be a little bit of slack in the cable otherwise the butterfly wont close fully.

But there shouldn't be too much, otherwise you wont open the butterfly fully.

So give it a go, Just make sure you have a little bit of slack.

in my v6, it should have been easy but gay plastic combined with weird nuts in my stock airbox, my honeycomb before the MAS got a bit ****ed up (which could be bad)-->cut, its still running alright though
now its on theirs no real difference, low might have lost but up high is good, im relocating mine to the front bar but confused about extending the wiring of the MAS though...pod on mates barina improved economy and performance, mines getting too much hot air (definately bad in the city, not that i drive round in it).

i have a v6 auto.

i bought a TFI pod for $30 with a plastic adapter plate for $20 which was for a nissan cause its the same for ours, (pretty sure cause mine fitted fine) just check it out before you really buy it.

it made it breath better and took off better... its low kw gains but it lets your car be more efficiant.

a few weeks later i took the resonators off n plugged them and it made it make a real deep growl in the induction over 2500-3000 rev's and top end seemed better low lost a little bit.

it sits just over 4000 rpm's when at WOT in 3rd and stays just over 4000 for the duration that it takes to go up 20km's then goes better when it clicks down cause its an auto....

i put the smaller resonator back on and low end had a bit more pull and fuel economy went up slightly. and it was alot quieter

i took it back off a week ago and its real deep sounding and eats more fuel at WOT again lol it turns lots of heads....

im working on a cold ram intake mod still, just trying to plan it more and find out whats best value and efficency for the dollar value.

I think our Magna's are quite soft. My dad's Commodore and even my mothers 206 Puggy both have a a stiff accelerator pedal.

back to the throttle body business, has any1 attempted this ever with installing the 3.0 SOHC v6 engine throttle body to an astron 2 engine??? need to know ASAP so i can prove my dad wrong, which will be hard.....
plus ive been doing a bit of calculations and i think the t/b is either a few mm bigger or relativaly the same, wat gain would i get by installing it anyways?

well i forgot to give out the story... i told dad wat me and a mate were gonna do to it durin the long w/e (regretfully) and he went right off, wouldnt blame him but, i only kno half the things im doing, my mate should know wat hes doin.. anyways he keeps on goin about wat benifit the throttle body would be, i told him it should help the engine breathe a bit easier, then he goes it will make it run lean and u will loose more power... so sum1 help?
