Hey guys just got me a Oval Pod Filter from a fellow AM member.

Thanks slickTH for the pod greatly appreicated. :)

And thanks to HyperTF telling us all just how good the oval pod sounded when put on :D

So i hope to maybe do a trial fitment tomorow to see how i can keep the hot enigne air away or to bring more cold air to the oval pod.

Oh and have you got a bracket or something to stabilise the pod with? otherwise it will just sort of bounce around and may not live too long for starters!

If it isnt supported by something ill get my dad to make me a bracket of some sort to hold it into place so it dosent move.

And i would like to see where u end up with getting cold air to it as ill be looking into the same thing soon.

I am using the bracket Bain had made up for his... it is bolted to both the lower pod adaptor bolts then it goes down at a bit of an S-Bend and is mounted where there is a cable clip just below were the pod sits... perfect! unfortunately i have no photos and it is too dark now.

When u get some time can u post the pics so i can show my dad so he can make the brackets up for me. My dad is awesome for making stuff for my car :D , he even made the brackets for my amp to mount on the side in the boot.

AS u can see the pod is in the Car and it seems to make my exhaust a bit louder but that will be answered when i drive to work.

Gotta love bolt on applications unscrew old put on new and off u go.

Its got that turbo hissing sound when at idle :badgrin: then i couldnt hear it too much after with some throttle as exhaust was pretty loud and things resonate in my car port with a brick wal on one side.

Hey fellas....
Think this is my first reply,sorta new to the site.
I picked up one of these pods for $50 from a neighbour.
I know i give it 2 thumbs up. About the bracket, if u remove the stock
air box and look down to the trans, u will notice a threaded hole, by memory
its an M6 by about 20mm deep. I managed to make up a bracket at work
which consisted of a rod with a M6 grub screw on the end and on the top it
had a plate with 2 holes, 10mm, i just zip tied it on....If u want pics ill
be more than happy to take some.
My car was stock, then i got the filter and the addiction started from there.
Since then i had the tint done, 80/20, very dark and a cannon put on.

I picked mine up from a fellow member.

And my magna modding addiction started with a muffler recommended by the magna forum.
From then on it got worse and still hasnt finished lol

And yes could ya take some pics for me as i want to brace it soon so its not just flapping around in the enigine bay.

All i need is like the lengths and my dad can make up a bracket for almost anything i want.

I saw 4 cops on the way to my friend's place today. First was a pair of chic cops pulling over a boganised VL commy full of trailer park retards. Next, there were 2 cop cars on the side of the road, in the dark, with speed cameras, and a few motorbikes further down the road. Good thing i was too tired to be in the mood for hooning. damn uni :doubt:

Got home like 30 mins ago making it 3am here, was taking the car to mates house for a small get together with old friends.

Well all i can say about the Oval Pod under WOT is :shock: :badgrin: :shock: :badgrin:

All i can say is get it.

It cost all of $4.25 to make and is very easy to do.. I forgot to replace those long bolts with some short ones (couldnt find any in my toolbox at the time)

And no im not selling my Oval Pod, and no i didnt pay $150 for it either.

The panel i got from wreckers its a K&N Panel filter for a good 10 or so bucks, just needs a oil clean kit to clean it, ill be trying it out on my mums new car.

I also got a 90deg bend to see if i can do a CAI but one end of the pipe is 9cm the other looks like 8cm or so, came off just before the MAF sensor off a magna they had there. which cost 3 bucks or so.

Both filter and pipe cost $13 together. So now ill be playing around making more cold air reach the Oval Pod.
