 Bloody mechanics in town have now taken my mate for a ride on the dollar express. I need to know if any one can give us girls some hints on saving a few dollars on these probs.
* Price range on cv boots for TR.
* Steering rack. (its spilt and needs repairs)
*Idle stepper Replacement(its faulty due to other probs)

Most of the other things they said needed doin should have actually taken place to my knowledge in the service that was paid for.
*Raditor flushed
*Brake fluid flushed.
(they wanted over $100 for these) What a joke.
This weekend Im going to do these for her if not sooner..
No offence meant here to you blokes But what the **** do males think us chicks are. DUMB!! **** that. We do know some things..

But back to the real reason of this topic.. Help please. Pm me or post either way please HELP..

A CV boot kit is about $40. That is just for one though. Labour should be around $40 from memory. Replace the CV boot if it is cracked (therefore the grease is leaking). So check both CV's before replacing both of them.

the Idle Speed Controller (ISC) Motor is an expensive part. A place called Nardek (http://www.nardek.com.au/isc.htm) sell them for around $200, which is still quite cheaper then the one sold directly from Mitsubishi.

Of course you can always go to the wreckers and grab the ISC motor from there, but you won't be able to guarantee that it is working.

You should be able to replace the ISC motor yourself, its really easy.

Go to the wreckers and grab one, should be around $50, make sure it's off a running engine first though. I got a reco throttle body for $90 from a wreckers, so just the isc should be cheaper.

radiaotr flush and brake fluid flush you can do pretty easily if u want or some places do them for $50 each which is pretty standard. people have already mentioned the others except the steering rack. I dunno how much the magnas steering rack would cost to repair but for other manufactures the steering rack is fairly expensive.

you can grab an isc motor from Bursons for $110, but be careful with these ones as I have had two fail on me, but as they have a 2 year warranty its still free to replace!!
