Ok so i dont know if this has happened to anyone else but we will never trust EBC again... Especially green stuff pads. We had them on our prelude (pulled up from 200 with no brake fade), but after normal driving conditions for less than a like 3 months - the pads broke in half, shot one half out and took nasty chunks out of the rotors - which were EBC too.... Alot of money when into those brakes only for that to happen. We contacted them about it and they declared that it wouldnt have happen for street use, and we must have had it on the track... - UM NO! -... Hoping it was just us, but if it isnt .... Buyer beware

I have the green stuff pads. They work great, felt a difference right away when i put em on. just like Dave said on his site. 15% better stopping. Had for 6 months. My mechanic looked them he said, heck, they could last for a couple more years....lol. And no I don't drive like a granny.
On a side note - I have EBC slotted rotors to match. Again, just like Dave said it took care of the pulsating problem.
I am only talking about the front by the way.
I am wanting to upgrade to some higher temp ones. we don't have the black stuff to fit on the diamante here in the us. do you think i could use the 3000gt ones? Also is there anything comparable to the black stuff pads? :D

Yeah we had the slotted rotors too... So it seems it was just us with a faulty set. Bugger cause they were really good.
Still dont think we will go back to them though... We dont drive the magna quite like we drove the prelude. But will upgrade to some DBA's soon...

i changed my front pads today to Bendix advance, anyway, the left hand outer pad's friction material was seperated from the backing plate. It must have got pretty hot? :D
These new pads are heaps better, i have a firmer pedal feel, and they are more bitey. :D

Cool, thanks for that man. I'm actually uncedided between green and red stuff. I think black stuff is pretty much OEM stuff but maybe slightly better. I doubt you could use the 3000GT as a straight swap but with some mucking around, I'm sure you could. You might want to get your hands on some Evo ones. So, your Diamantes have twin pistons from factory?

I am not sure about that I'll check. I thought all US models had twin piston calipers but I am not sure. I'll have to check. Can you tell by looking at it if its two or one piston caliper??
So you think EVO 8 brake pads would fit?? :
Also none of the ebc pads are even close to oem. Green stuff is more for street use, the black stuff is more for street/strip use as they take longer to warm up and the red stuff is for strip use. Yeah the red stuff would just be like oem ones cause you would never get em that hot for them to affective. If you drive a little bit harder then a average person green stuff is more than enough. :D

I have EBC slotted rotors & Bendex pads, & the rotors were great for about 4months, now one seems to have warped or something, cause the ticking noise of a pad coming into contact with a rotor on every revolution has returned.
Also dunno if I use the brakes to much, but the pads seem to create a ****ELOAD of dust!

Well compared to my factory ones these don't create that much dust.
also here Diamantes have 2 piston calipers in the front and 1 in the rear. :D

Not the pads but the calipers and rotors :D. Don't know what model but some fit up almost as a straight swap.
IAsked about the colours because...
