Any of you guys tried an oversized TB? Apart from throttle responce, what have you noticed? Any gain in peak power and if so, has it been quantified on the dyno? What was ot oversized to?

Oversized TB dont generally "produce" power, they help keep airflow at optimum levels.
look at it as you can only suck so much softdrink through a straw 5mm in dia. now get one of those 15mm dia big ass maccas purple straws and see how much softdrink you can now get.
the larger straw wont allow you to swallow any more softdrink then the smaller one. but you get more softdrink quicker.
see... it helps put more air into the engine, improved throttle response and mimimal power gains (again, you would only see half decent gains via the use of a aftermarket tuning device: read: greddy or other)

whats the difference between an oversized throttle body and the twin throttle bodies you claimed a 40kw gain from?

there was two seperate throttle bodies and sensors with aftermarket managment.
Hard to compare i test drove 3 manual magnas when buying mine (which has oversized throttle body, quicker response basically (chirps second much worse).

You should be able to work out through vacuum if the TB is holding you back a little - nothing a few tests can't help reveal :)
Cheers,
