I have mine facing backwards. The bonus of this is that it uses the boot as a resonating chamber making it louder. Some people say facing it backwards can make it lag..but it's up to your ears..try it both ways and see what you like better

OK these are the various positions and the tradeoffs of each in a sedan:

Facing front, positioned behind seats or through ski hole. Probably best configuration in terms of SQ but requires a solid baffle behind sub(s) or a good seal between the sub box and the ski flap otherwise you will lose volume.

Sub(s) behind seats facing towards back of boot. Simple way to do it and will achieve good volumes due to a loading effect. SQ may not be as good with noticable group delay.

Some people have also had good results by positioning the sub box at the back of the boot and facing forward. Apparently good volumes and decent SQ.

I must say I dont have any delay with mine facing backwards..but then again..the Magna's are VERY good SQ cars.

Those are just generalization, there will always be exceptions to the rule.

I wouldn't say the Magna is a good SQ vehicle. The speaker positions aren't the best for SQ. The previous shape Civic was apparently very good in terms of SQ.

Not the in dash speaker positions of course..but where you can put them in the doors is very good.

I've never heard a Magna with an aftermarket system in it that wasn't really clear.

I got 2 15s facing in2 the box facing the front (wasn't a design plan more like a ballz up coz i couldn't get the subs in2 the box after i made it  )
would it be better if i modify the box 2 put the subs in it.
mind u im getting megga bass and clarity out of this, just wonderd if it could be better?
