Hey guys n gals
I had my ride lowered a while ago but have never gotten around to taking some pics, then she was way over due for a polish so I was going to wait until I got around to poilshing her.
My mate and I go together over the weekend and washed, polished and waxed our cars.
So after a day of washing, polishing and waxing while listening to some tunes and chatting with a bit of mucking around she is soo nice smooth and shiney :D
The pics aren't the best but I was already running late, would of liked to take them about an hour or even half an hour later and have time to sit and wait for the sun as it kept dropping in and out from behind the clouds, but they are still god :)
When I was looking at lowering my car I had soo much trouble (as in near impossible) trying to find pics that you could clearly see the wheel arch gaps and also the clearance well or at all, so I took some pics for the people who are trying to get a visual reference could see but they didn't work out that well, so I will get the digital camera out in the next few days and get some better ones.

Absolutely awesome!! Get clear side indicators and debadge and colour coded side bits and you won't believe how good it comes up.
Even the clear sides will have you going "Hmm......Looks totally different". :D
P.S. Check FS thread for indicators. ;)
P.P.S. Debadge!!!!!!!!

P.P.P.S colourcode skirts!
IMO one of the best ways to improve a magnas looks, especially after rims and lowering.
oh, and that is looking very very nice indeed :D

Thanks for the support guys :D
Mulga, I am playing with the idea of clear indicators and debadging...
Also playing with the idea of colour coding...
I'm playing with alot of ideas actually...
I'm also playing with the ideas of darker tint but I am more worried about insuarnce than anything with that one and KJ Verada grill with para headlights for the finishing touch...
There is alot of "..." in this post isn't there...
Custom plates, black plates with white text is an other idea but as in FiveFourV8's post I am not sure if I need the extra attention, my car is already stands out a little bit. But the biggest question with this one is what to get?
I was playing with the plate "IVOLUTION" as my name is Ivan but the Evolution relates more to Lancers, plus it seems a little try hardie. It was a semi-joke of mine that became a serious thought about idea there for a little while. Some of my mates are still kicking me telling me to get it... It would have to be "IVO ART" for a magna and don't think that has as much punch.
So is there any panel beaters/painters, or someone sitting on some paras/kj grill who wants to sell sitting out there who does "Magna Rates"?

hey mate that is one sweet ride!
Could you post some pics of how low your mufflers sit to the ground? Im looking around at mufflers, and most I have seen the mufflers sit really low to get under the rear spoiler and look as if they would scrape on a decent bump. Yours doesnt look as low, so interested to see how you did it...
Cheers

Yeah, my mates M Spec, nice car. Stock standard excpet for the 20% tint and heavy duty clutch he just put in as the original one stuffed up and something with the hydrolics had to be replaced. The other mod it has was on there where he got it, a bright metallic purple release button on his hand brake  I think he needs some rims and lowering a little and it will be soo much sweeter. All in good time, all in good time :) I wasn't ever that much of a skyline fan until he got his

No problems mate, when I will get the camera out in the next few days hopefully and get some pics for you so you can see and will also get some shots to show clearance and wheel arch gaps too. I've never scraped my mufflers since I've had the car lowered but I remember they are there and some dips/speed bumps I've had to go over almost sideways to get over. Most of the time If I need to go over on an angle to get over the bump it isn't too bad :)

Hey again people, sorry for the wait just been busy with work. Been bouncing between regional office and my store for meetings and such :)
Anyways, here are some pics with a good old Pepsi Max can (so kindly donated by my Dad) as a visual guide...
As i said earlier, when i wanted to lower my car i had problems finding decent bits to see cleanace and wheel arch gaps so this is my bit to try and help :) I'll check them on my Bro's computer later as for some reason my screen is pretty dark just to make sure the shadows are not too deep and you can see.
I have Lovells super lows in the front and lovells lows in the back.
1st 3 pics are of the front wheel...

I had been thinking about the idea for a little while but Mulga gave me that lil push that I needed so when I washed my car I removed the Exec badge as a trial. Gotta love De-solv-it, came in handy just after i bought the car as some lovely friendly person decided that they would remove the nice shiney unwanted 3 diamonds off the front of my car... Came up looking soo much neater just with the Exec badge removed.
The job was neat and didn't take much time with the handy tools of a hair dryer, fishing line, de-solv-it and a cloth. Once I take the other badges off I will just polish and wax the boot again and the faint marks of where the badge was will be gone. :D
Anyways, decided i will continue the process and even did a quick photochop and definatly decided it would be done :)
Also, was looking into clear indicators at the time. Slo3l posted them to me and hopefully will be here today (damn night shifts) or maybe the next...

Hey Guys, finished off0 my debadging the other day, only badges left on are the 3.5's on the side above the indicators.
What are your thoughts?
Leave them on!
Take em off!

Man, the spoiler came with the car and I don't like the lil plugs in the boot from where spoilers were attached nor do I want to spend a fair bit of money to get it bogged up and resprayed. Just ca't see the dollar value in it.
I remember a Soarer at work, looked pretty sweet but everytime I saw it on the way to HJs or KFC all I could see were the plugs!

Thanks guys, I was thinking the exact same but didn't want to leave the panel too bare
