Hey Guys,

Had a bit of trouble with my idle motor lately, had it replaced recently with an ACA one from Bursons which failed due to the end cap falling off into the throttle, so I had it replaced under warranty only to have the same thing happen to me today - the rounded cap at the end of the spindle has come loose. Does anyone have a similar experience, and am I correct that the cap is merely glued on can quite easily be repaired???

sure thing if it is a remanufactured part from aca (aluminium body and brown end plug body) then the plunger cap you are refering to will screw on a bit like a jam jar lid. i ahve had this happen on my own vehicle, all i did was screw it back on and it hasnt played up since but if you are concerned then just a small dob of super glue when you screw it back on will ensure it wont come off. if it is a new part from aca (completely black) then the plunger cap cannot come off and if it is it will be broken...in which case take it back. also just make sure you have the right part number 416 for a 4 cyl and 419 for a 6 cyl.
