After spending 6 hours rewiring my entire car stereo system after selling my subs its finally done. I had a real bastard problem with intereferance when i installed my front splits and now its gone!!! :D Im one happy chappy :D

Finally gave me the chance to clean up to boot and get it back to stock after all the mess left behind from the boot enclosure. A job well done :D

Not true :P

But it comes down to personal preference in the end.

If u want a sub..u get one...if you dont..then you dont.

Not true :P

Ok - it depends - if you ever get the chance to listen to my 6x9's - you can feel the punch - ie feel the seat shake and seee the mirrors blur - ok - not as much as a 12" or anything - but for what they are I am impressed!!

Everyone may think that their 6*9s pump out a lot of bass but in reality they absolutely can not be compared to subs, it is a completely different class and feel or bass. This is coming from a guy who had 2 12" run by 2 alpine V12 MRV 1005s bridged to 400RMS each (about 800 max each sub) in a box that can't even fit into the magna boot because the box is too big. Now no subs for me, the extra 60-70kg would way the car down too much.

Exactly true.

But for those who dont want heart thumping bass..and just clarity on a budget, a nice set of 6x9's will do the job.

But yes, I totally agree...a sub next to a 6x9 is no comparison

There is nothing better than a sub, i'll be honest. They are great. The reason i sold mine was simple, I was going deaf because of them and that is no joke. I also have timitis (constant ringing of the ears) and the subs were causing all sorts of problems with it.

As for subs, been there done that. They were good for a while but i've allways been after quality of a doof doof system. My Pioneer 6x9 compression horns are pumping out plenty of bass so im happy :D, my car isn't weighed down anymore and i can use the extra boot space.
