Quick question(s): The Mitsubishi Magna TH "bar cover front" listed on Ozeparts for $150, is that the TH front bar? Is that all you need if you want to do a change over (I mean, obviously besides the paint job). Is it hard to fit?
Thanks all.

I had mine upgraded from a TF to TH after a minor front end bingle and i think the repair shop hated me for requesting it lol well, they said they could do it... but even they agreed that the final outcome was worth it... aparently there are a lot more brackets to be fitted (they could have exaggerated but she said nearly 40 :doubt: ). Anyway sounded like it was tricky job... one I probably wouldn't touch myself...
As for what you "need" I am not entirely sure sorry.
I guess you could contact Mitsu themselves.
One more thing... I think you might have to upgrade the Grille too but don't quote me on it... just make sure about that too.

Dont upgrade to a TH, just colour code the TE front, looks nice

IMHO, the TH front looks heaps better in any situation. The front bar has a lot nicer profile to it than the TE-TF, also, the TH grill is a lot more aggressive than the TE-TF. I think you would be happy with the result, I know Hyper_TF was happier with the look of his car after he had it done.
The other thing the TH front bar allows you to do is to fit the sports wagon kit to it should you decide you would like to do that later down the track :P

I understand what your saying, but individuality is a good thing!

Very true, but I am just saying from a personal opinion that a TH bar has a nicer shape to it than a TE-TF bar. Dont forget, you can also colour code a TH bar too, so whilst you can be individualistic about things, why not start with the best looking base to start with??? Of course, this is my opinion only, you may think that the TE-TF bar is better than a TH bar and that is respected. :D

The genuine bar cover is just the plastic part and doesn't include the metal support bracket behind. Also you may need to get the black plastic parts which cover and sit on either side of the driving lights on the lower air dam.

Does that mean that the reinforcement bar behind the front is different? I know there should be a few more clips because of the fog light pods on the TH bar, but would the metal bracket behind it be different?
Seems like there is alot more to it than just the cover, oh well, kinda expected it. The reason to why I want a change is because I'm looking to fit the sports wagon kit in the future (somewhat, distant future), and I like the look of the TH bar over my TE one.
Man, and I was hoping that $150 (plus painting) would net me a new front bar.

yeah the Verada front is quite nice aswell, wouldn't mind seeing one with a TH Altera Grill though.... i reckon it would look very angry! a good idea also would be getting the mirrors, sideskirts and lower door colour-coded aswell while its there... makes a huge difference!
hey Karen, on that pic you plates almost look like they say "Under 80" good thing its not a gramps car hey? lol

man, i was asked why the hell i didnt get a TH bar instead of a TE one when i replaced my front bar. It never even occured to me. At that stage, i hadnt even realised they were different! Thats shows there aint much difference IMO. Im not looking to fit any sort of kit to it so the TE front was fine.
besides, i may get a TH front soon.......included in my brothers manual TH
