One of my kids stuffed a CD into the CD player (stock TJ) while it was switched off, now the CD won't come out & the player doesn't know it is in there.
I think it needs surgery.
How do I pull out the CD player without wrecking the dash?
I had a quick go of prying it out with a screwdriver but it didn't feel like it was going to come out without breaking something.

I've disconnected & reconnected power. CD player now wants the security code - which I have.
How do I put the code in?
My code has a '9' in it, but the number buttons on the unit only go from 1 - 6. Is someone trying to mess with my head??

Just replace the darn thing with an aftermarket one, the sound improvement is enormous..

I think you are right. Might be time for better speakers too.

if your was say. 2639 u would press no1 button twice, no2 button six times, no3 button three time and no4 button nine times then press display button.
if that fails its in your owners manual.

 thx hendo - that was it. just had to hold 'display' for a couple of seconds first to get it ready.
I am about to go on a long long drive & a radio will come in handy.
