Hey Guys Awesome forum... I got my new verada as my first car. what can i say i love it for the price i paid. now i'm upgrading the sound system here whats going it in tomorrow:

Stage 1 Stereo and Electronics

- 2 X /////ALPINE Type-R 12" Dual-Coil Subs (Over $1700 including Custom made Box)
- All-In-One DVD/VCD/MP3 and Lots of Other Features including 7" TFT screen Single Din ($900 Including Antena for TV)
- US-Audio Wire-up Kit with 4 RCAs and 2 Remote and 2 Power to the Boot)
- Ample Capacitor 1.2 Farad. ($200)
- Clarion DPX 1001.1 Digital Mono Block 1000W ($550)
-2-way paging system Top of the range ($400 INstalled)

Stage 2 Drive

-Rims 18" Chrome with darck shade PLUS FLAKEN Tyres ($1700 Installation included)
-Lowering using Super Lows ($345 done as a special because of the rims I'm gonna buy)

Stage 3 Engine

-Exhaust 2 1/2" or maybe 3" all the way through and 4" Dump-Pipe.

This is what i have come up with so far if you guys have any other Ideas Please let me know. Or any tips for the things i wanna do.

I was gonna buy two of those monoblock amps to power subs at one stage..but then, running 3 amps is just annoying, so i ditched the idea...

over $1700 for 2xtype r's in a custom box? are they coming gold plated these days or sumfin? :nuts: tad overpriced me thinks, but nevertheless, nice setup

Don't ever pay retail for commercial car audio products...

Man u could have got a Brahma or a Re XXX or an IDMAX for the price of ur subs. With money left over for a huge monoblock to drive them... These would destroy 2 type r's and not even raise a sweat.

Other tips.

Caps are pretty much useless... I hope you only have it there for rice (in which case I hope it looks good :))... Put a fire extinguisher in there instead. Or some beer ;)

Looks like you're gonna have a rockin system. I hope ur upgrading ur fronts too(THis is probably the most important part but meh...)

The Alpines I swaped for a NOkia 7210 to my mate that was selling his car and was gonna give the subs away with the car for nothing. i have the recipts for the subs they were $450 each and the box was @800 because its made out of hardwood and weights about 100kgs

the phone cost me $700 when it first came out i got to use it for a year and then swaped it for the subs and the box...

I paid much MUCH less... (Not 5 finger discount less but you get the point)

Actually a friend of mine repairs/recharges them so I can get heaps. (Unlucky for you Eek he's moved to NSW)

Ok the whole stage by stage car upgrade has changed. Two days ago i went to the bank and pulled out 2.2K thinking I'm gonna put in my sound system and tint my windows along with other mods that i had on my list.... but all the things went the other way as soon as i went to my friends house. I ended up getting these puppies for 1.8K including getting my car lowered. I had about 400 left so I went for a drive to Carnegie and ordered my leather seat covers from Ultimate Trim, that set me back 420 including fitting, they should be ready in about 2 weeks by then I'm getting a 2.5" VRX Exhaust this week and my window tint. If any of you guys know where I can get a nice window tint In Melbourne Please let me know. Looks like my sound system will be the last thing put on my car....

So what do you think????

in ur first post, are u meaning 4" dump pipe as in the tip? cause dump pipes are only used for cars with turbos to my knowledge. sorry just had to ask
