hey guys i was just wondering what is the common cause for the isc to **** itself? the first one went so we got one from a wreckers and it died 2 days later, so we bought a new one and it one lasted 3 days :confused: we are just at a loss to what is killing them.. any ideas?

LJ i dont have fuel injection, but from what i've read/heard - ISC are a pain in the ass on magnas... they never work correctly, they die

but something's going on if you got a new one and it last 3 days...

Idle Speed Controller motor.

Well I bought a new one a year ago and its still going.... For the 2.6 though.

I'm thinking possibly that the base idle isn't right, and the ECU hasn't been reset, so maybe the ISC is constantly working full-on, trying to get the idle to the right speed. Could burn it out real fast.

See if you can find out how to reset the ISC, and set the base idle. There was a thread a little while ago, but I didn't get a full resolution on exactly what to do / short, to reset the ISC. Supposed to shorta wire somewhere, but noone could tell me exactly which wire or exactly where it is. A vague outline is somewhere on madmagna.com I think.
