Hey people.

The dashboard is cracked in my 1991 TR Magna.
About a year ago, after taking it for it regular service, I noticed that the dash had a huge gash right down the middle, above the steering wheel bit.

I was wondering, is it possible to replace this dash? Which way would you guys reccommend I fixed it?

Its the ****en sun I tell you, our garage holds the new Verada, and my car cops all the sun. No fair :(

Another thing, the rubber trims around the doors, they are kinda burnt in some places and are very flimsy, are they easy to replace?

Finally, the inside roof of the car it old and rattly sometimes when the car is idling at a low RPM (in some places in the read, its slightly detached from the top), how would I go about replacing the inside roof?

Apart from those 3 things, the car is going great for its age. Only now, the sun is doing its worst on it, and its pi**ing me off bigtime.

Thanks people.

With the dash, you can definately go down to the wreckers and pick up a dash.. even a self serve place will do. It is a pain in the arse to remove the dash apparantly, so it might take you a while.. But if you want it done badly enough. It is possible. All you need to do is make sure you get the right color dash. and alotta patience.
Also, Yes the sun is a pain in the ass, but a $5 sun visor will protect your dash for its whole life :D so you might want to invest in that for the future.

The trims around the doors, also a wreckers job. Im pretty sure u can just pop those out and peel them off. Then just replace them. Even try and call your mitsubishi dealer, they might have something like that brand new if you like.

Inside roof, ive never removed mine, so i dont know how its held on. But it definately comes off. If its loose just find out where its not holding on right and find a way to keep it there. Like a Hot glue gun or something will do. Or again, find a good one at the wreckers..

good luck man

Vinyl spray works fine. Just dont use it on hard plastic
