i dont have mudflaps, and yes i know those panels have to be painted. the whole car has to be resprayed.

y not try and devise a proper CAI other than the stock mitsu one u have on

take the splash plate off next to the radiator and feed piping into that. air will blow straight in and i bet u $20 your intake temps drop a few degrees

or... clean ur engine bay with some degreaser

or... spray ur carby thoroughly with carby cleaner (u will notice a difference if u havent in AGES) and its only $3 a can from repco.

or... try and custom make a centre console out of wood so i can steal ur design and use it as my centre console is in tatters... AGAIN :bowrofl:

ok, replying in order
my cai is fine, doesnt need modifying. car runs exceedingly well
engine bay is clean.....amazingly
carby is fine, couldnt believe how responsive the car was today.
and as for my custom dash, not centre console, dash, coz it's gonna be all moulded in, if you want specs and all on that look up any knight rider fan site and modify it with a 21st century twist.

hey with the carby cleaner, i'm yet to do that, and i really should, with EFi just spray it into the throttle body? TC said something in some other random thread that u do with the car on or something? Any way a better way than another? Something something :bowrofl:

yeah u can spray carby cleaner into ur T/B wen the car is on. it is called carby cleaner/throttle body cleaner. i sprayed my car for the first time ever ages ago (wen my car was only running on primaries) and it seriously dropped 1 whole second 0-100 lol... obviously there would b a less drastic increase for ppl who have carbs that run properly but still. trust me, no matter how good u think ur carby t/b is, spray it with this stuff and your golden

so yeah... wat u wanna do is this. car started and at OPERATING TEMPERATURE. spray into t/b or carby and the engine will sorta buck and dropped in revs for a second, kinda like it was just flooded. spray it really well, everywhere all inside the carby/t/b. youll watch the grime just melt off. ur car will run as rough as guts for abit but then u stop the spraying and take it for a run. rev it abit before u take off, then take off and take it slow. floor it a few times after that to get rid of all the crap.

t/b cleaning is different tho ur ment to spray it in there with the car off 1/2 then put a rag underneath the t/b so all the grim comes off then open the butterfly and spray both sides and leave for 1min THEN start the car and shoot some more sprays to its all clean :D

I'm pulling two motors apart, to try and get one working motor out of it. Just finding out details on a balance shaft elimination kit.
