Can anyone tell me why when going round a right hand corner, about 50km/h and almost flooring it, the engine seems to stutter  ... like it not getting fuel  . Is this a normal problem or should i get it looked at?

FYI it is a 2003 Verada GTV tiptronic 3.5L
Any info would be great, thanks!

Thanks anyway guys.

I have the same with my KJ2. Go hard around the corner and the engine cuts out and feels like it has stalled. Cuts out for about 5 seconds. Loose all power and steering. Not the traction control. Same as GTVBOY, i dont really want to tell the dealer that i thrash it round corners.
Have been told it could be fuel pump, fuel filter or injectors. Best to start with the cheep being the filter and go from there.

just tell them it occured when you were cornering on a steep hill at full throtte, situations like this occur so it's plausable

this happens with all magnas, due to the fuel tank design. Ralliart got the re-designed tank to try to eliminate this problem.

however i found that it only really happens when the fuel filter is dirty and blocked. Don't count on Mitsu to change yours :doubt: . when i replaced mine out a couple of months after a 'mitsu service' it was completely black (like it had never been renewed). Haven't had any starving at all now even at the race track.

Who cares if you thrash your car around or not. Mitsubishi cannot do anything to stop people from doing what they want with cars. Its your car, not theirs. So get some balls and tell them.

they dont want to tell mitsu because its still under warranty.................
if mitsu know the car has been 'raced' they will void the warranty.

They cannot void the warranty. If the car can corner that quickly, then why not? If they wanted drivers to avoid doing it, they would have made it impossible. I went there and told them that my aircon squeeks whenever i hit 5000rpm. And that's not exactly calm drivin ;) hehehe

so you're telling me that if i melt my heads, destroy my driveshaft & CV joints, & wear out all of my bearings at a track day at Calder Park - I can take it back to mitsu under warranty and they will accept it, even though i tell them i did all that in 1 afternoon at the track?

wow, that means i could have been racing HARD for the last 3 years!!!
