Making some sort of cracking poping noise when I move down kirbs and have my wheel turned nearly on full lock

if you do it yourself between 150-300 if only the joint is broken

For 2nd gens a replacement driving shaft (which is what the cv is joined to) cost me $77 each. If you do it urself all you need is some elbow grease and a litre of tranny fluid..

Or pay between 30-50ish for a mechanic to do..

i needed both mine done a few months back and thats what it cost me

Call around some CV places, look in ur yellow pages.. places charge between 120-200 to fix including everything.. if you dont wanna buy it then find someone else to fit it etc...

Definately dont pay any more than 180 to fix it..

reconditioned, change over cv's are probably the way to go. make sure the replacements have the same gearbox spline and shaft size. there are a few different types used in gen2's
