I want to buy one of the two but i dont know which one is better can anyone help me making a choice?????

have u seen the difference in a neon and an LED (light emmiting diode hence its only a tiny little diode)

I had LED's on my accent, they both have there features, LED's have different settings like flashing, music sensor ( so they flash to the music), the ones i had, had like 7 different settings, the only thing i didnt like was the amount of light emitted, compared to neon light. if you know what i mean, so there fore, it depends on what you want.

i'm looking for brightness more than features... and colour is going to be red so i don't want it to look like pink...or something poffie

neons are good for flooding great spaces. I used to have a pair of blue cold caathode tubes under the front foot wells, like really low down, and they were so bright they flooded up the whole car in bright blue.

if u leds are good for like, spot lighting onto consoles etc. if u want to get neons, get cold cathode tubes instead, much brighter :)

im going to get the kit for under my car and 2 for the inside and 1 for the boot so i think neons the way to go?

Autobarn sells them. if i remeber of the top of my head i think its about $250 for a under car kit. and the ones for your front seats and boot are about $20-30 each, these ones come with double sided sticky tape or screws, so you dont have to screw them in. Also are you going to wire it all up to one switch? You prob should have one for the front and under car close to the drivers seat so they are easy to turn on and off, especially if you pass the police. i know in nsw they are illegal whilst driving, but you can have them one when you a parked.

The boot neon, i reckon you should put the switch in the boot somewhere which is easy to get to and wont get smashed by anything in your boot when your drivin.

The do full underbody kits for 99 dollars 2 longs 2 shorts...

i got my interrior neons from them as well... (back 2 anyways) i have 3 sound activated 30 cm neons... 2 30cm cold cathodes under the dash

i've seen some kits from $150-$260 (on the net) all same size and pretty much do the same thing... with the swicthes i want to put two (1 of the internal ones and 1 for the outside) and prob be on next to the stering wheel on the left hand side so you cant see it when your pulled over...

neons arent illeigal unless they flash, u can see the filiment or they change colour... well in WA thats the laws

in south austrlaia it is illegal to have any lights other than the stock standard lights .......pretty lame

Apparently they is illegal (NSW)

I was told (when i got pulled over and warned to take em out) that the only people who can have blue lights are Coppers, Ambo's and fire.

Ive still got em in there, god ya get some looks when the whole head light glows blue.

Do the blue parkers stay on when you have your head lights on full as well or only when you have parkers on??

That pic is with only the parkers on.
Camera made it look like it was an actual light.
Its just a little blue dot when they are on during the day and when the head lights are on but if the parkers are just on when its dark the whole headlight glows blue, pretty sweet if ya ask me.

The blue parkers stay on when ive got the head lights and everything on, well it did but somethigns wrong with the right hand side on, sometimes its on and somethimes its off, if anyone knows why please feel free to tell me.

Not sure how much they cost as i got it put in and the globes cost me nothing....its good knowing smash repaires who get stuff cheak for ya but they were bought from AUTOPRO, cant think of what they were called but they came in all different colours, even RAINBOW colour.

If ya wanna know what they are called or nething just tell me n ill find out for ya.

mine are L.E.D wedge globes. Took out the stock parker globes and replaced them with blue L.E.D parkers.

I have also replaced the stock numberplate bulbs with the blue L.E.Ds

Gives a nice effect! although i haven't seen (in real life) the effect of coloured bulbs.

I got them from Motoquip here in WA - $10 for a pack (contains 2 L.E.Ds)

will post pics, wen i fix on of the L.E.Ds (front right L.E.D has blown :cry: )

From a cop perspective highly ILLEGAL as you cannot fully see all the numbers/letters on the plate lol

Have to say, L.E.Ds give of more direct stream of light unlike neons. (hence y the glow is directly under the light source...oh yeh i'm smart :P )

My drivers side footwell LED stick was fine, and then it had 2 on the end go really dull... then after a while a few in the middle go dull and flicker brighter every now and then... POS!
Just luck of draw as other side is perfectly fine. Only happens with a few in rows because they are wired up about 3 per series and each series parallel.

neons can also flash to music too if u get an electronic kit from jaycar but u hav to build it yourself.... i did it for my amp and speaker enclouseres for my major work in electronics

hey guys, i found the problem my pate lights is busted so i will have to replace them on wednesday , my white led are flashing now., need help choice the right ones this time, ps - how long do the led lights last?

I got the lowest setting L.E.D from jay car 0.22Cents and they are still to bright but i used them a Door puddle lamps... Pic l8a

i did a NEON and LED's combo.
many more LED's and Neons to come.

LED's pwn neons in every way, unbreakable, more light, less? power useage, you can get tubes with a million colors in em compared to one, and they are about the same price anyway, ill never use neons again:)

i think the dude that did my set up said that for every 100 LED's i put in my car it drains the equvilent of one of the stock globes in my roof light. so yes they do use WAY less power.
however, neons r good too, it just depends what your after - not pwnage tufftr :P
i like having a combination, best of both worlds :)
