For the 2002 Model VRX's, I know the series 1 was 16" and series 2 was 17" - anyone know the exact spec's and sizes of the rims / tyres of both of these ?

Would i be best trying to find 17" rims that are the same size as what the series 2 VRX comes with ?

As I own a series 1 VRX with 16" mags (non factory) and trying to work out which sized 17"s i should aim for - ones that will be the closest match and if possible, a common size so that the price of tread doesn't increase too much :)

Would these fit ?

- i cant even recall how many studs i have hehe

Input ? Im a noob when it comes to this :)

Yea the rims u got there (on ebay) wont fit, theyr for 4 stud as said.

If your looking at getting aftermarket rims, look for 5 stud with pcd of 114.3
or also called "5x114.3"

What car have you got? If your after 17" wheels, the tyres dimension youd need are 235/45/17

I didnt quite understand what your saying there, but i think ur trying to say is you have a VRX series 1 with 16" wheels? and you want to upgrade to 17" ??
am i right?

Well if you want to upgrade to 17" all u need to look out for is the stud pattern, the pcd as mentioned above, and the offset.. which is usually not a problem. But alwyas try on the rims before u buy. Make sure they dont stick out or rub against the inside.

The safest way for a newbie is to just go to a trusted tyre/rim place like The Tyre Factory or Bob Jane.. wherever. And get them to work it all out :D

hope i helped

Thanks guys, yeah you helped! :)

And I've editted my original post to make more sense (hopefully).

Lots of good deals on ebay, would have liked to have found something off there...though i guess it would probably be better if i find a nice set off a dealer

You might have fun going from 16 to 17 inches and maintaining within your local road authority rolling circumference regulations.
