hey there guys,
i've just done a search on this, but all i can find is info on the 4 cyl, is it possible to turbo the V6 engine on a TR?
The reason i ask is my mate was telling me hes got this turbo and manifold that will fit my engine blah blah blah, but he can talk a lot of **** sometimes :D so i thought i'd ask you guys first to find out if its even remotely possible.
I remember something about no room in the engine bay? might have been some other mod im thinking of... anyways, i hope you can shed some light on this for me guys!!
thanks!
Shane.

manifold and turbos are probably off a 3000gt, and yes they will likely fit.
You'd be better off with a complete 3000gt engine though, as you'd get the DOHC. Bolt in swap :)

Your answer is YES, you can turbo charge the V6.
However the particular turbo & manifold your mate has, may or may not fit.

Just did an image search on google... Geez, how many pipes does that thing have?! Looks like you'd never be able to work on it - engine-bay ckocka-block, couldn't fit your hand in anywhere!

You'd actually be surprised when you see it in the flesh, it's not as cramped as it looks.

I had a look at one that was moderatley modified (intercooler, upgraded turbos, bov(s), aftermarket comp). The engine bay was so tight that one of the windscreen wiper jets popped up out of the bonnet when you closed it so you had to push it back down. I had a laugh at that.
Very nice cars though, a friend got to have a drive of the above car (it was his uncles). He never got out of second gear coz he was already over 100 in a 60 zone.

Thanks for the replies guys, appreciate it - my mate is a tool, turns out it is for a Mazda, not a Magna.
I got my hopes up and all... sweet turbo....
