I have just had my transmission rebuilt by a local company (no drive). Now that it is fixed(???) the original long term problem, cluncking into top gear and also into low gear(remains). The repairer has had the wiring checked and still gets scan code 22. They indicate that I must now change the transmission computer as they do not know what is wrong ( they beleive computer is generating bad code). Does anyone know where I can get one or pay to borrow one to test. They say that it is my cost even if the computer is not the fault. The cost is getting out of control may be more than the car is worth.
PS Is there somewhere I can work out which units would be compatible with the unit I have ( see markings below)

Any other help would be greatfully appreciated.

P.S Where can i get technical details of what scan code 22 indicates or the sensors involved.

i cant remember what code 22 is off the top of my head. i will have a look when i get back to work on tuesday..there are a couple of things i may be able to suggest. pulse generator sets were a hassle on this model and willnot directly point themselves out but some symptoms suggest these are generating an intermittant impure signal borrow a known good set and try it. Has youre heater box ever leaked? A/C drain ever been blocked and leaked water onto youre front floor? If so then it may have wet the auto ecu. take it out and remove the lid...check for any obvious black spots or melties in there.

hope this is of some use...
ill check the code and check the part no for supercessions during the week.
