Fitted front splits to my TJ Verada.
Have aproblem on the driver's side trying to feed the wiring through to the car. Got it to the door A pillar - but trying to find a way through into the car seems impossible!
Everywhere I push the wires seems to come up against something. There is a lot of stuff near where the harness comes through (fuse box etc).
How do I get the wires in? Anyone had similar problems. Been trying for hours!!

Disconnect your battery neg. terminal, then unscrew the fuse box (2-4 screws or bolts), and gently move it out of the way.
You'll see the same access hole as on the other side.
Is it a poofta of a job? YES!!
You may have already done this, but the best bet is to take the grommet off at the door end, then feed wire up and into cabin. Get long nose pliers to pull it through when you can start to see it.
You may also want to think of some new and interesting swear words, as I'm sure you're sick of saying the same ones afters hours of trying to get it done!! :bowrofl: :bowrofl:
Hey mate
I spent quite a while donig this too. It easy to find where to shove wires in. Just put your hand up in the space above the fuse box area, and you should feel a soft piece of foam. carefully peel it of punch a hole in it to feed your wire though.
The easiest way i found to feed the cables was to unbolt my whole door off..
ok..i'm joking. On the car body side of the rubber piping, there is a grey plastic clip, rip the rubber part out of the plastic clip, and this will make it a hell of a lot easier to fit the wires through....

I got the advantage of being able to fit my hand up that little service hole in the kick panels.
Also cut my arm bigtime in the process but wasn't too hard.
Grab a small mirror and a flashlight
Helps a lot

couldnt you like tape the new wire to the end of the existing one(tie a not in it too) and pull the old wire through from one side? when it pulls through it pulls the new one through with it.... just a thought, be heaps easier.

not really since the wires are bundled and stuck together when it enters the grommet.
Another related question....for the grommet that goes over that plastic thing on body side, how the heck do you put the grommet back on???
