Hey gang,

Happy Easter to all!!

After the hollidays I'm planning to inspect the ecu to check that there are no soon-to-be leaking capacitors. I have my Gregory's manual, but it does not tell ya anything about the ECU or how to inspect it, just shows you where it is located. Any of you have any experience in inspecting the ecu?

Do you have to disconnect the battery first if you muck around with the ecu? What should I look for to see whether my ecu board is still fine or whether the capacitors are close to be stuffed and will start leaking. Tricky one this one

Thanks to all takers :P

I've repaired my ecu, pretty easy, you can tell which capacitors are about to leak or are leaking. If you know some **** about electronics they're pretty easy to repair.

Have a look at this thread and the link within it. It describes the ecu fault and repair with pics.
