This may be normal... i've just never noticed it before...

When the ignition is turned off (turning off the car) - what should the belt do? (in a 3L V6 ts). I assumed it would just slow down to a stop... but mine stops quite quickly and then rocks back and forwarth for a second slightly (and squeaks slightly as it does).

I don't suppose someone else can have someone turn off the ignition while you look at the belt and see what it does? :P

(I know... I get paraniod at the slightest things when I think somethings odd with the car!)

it's normal

the rocking before complete stop is the crank spinning too slow then stopping and changing direction from compression building on one cylinder and then rocking back from compression on another.
