As the title says my wiper jets are dribbly at 100ks! I had a look at the whole system & can't see anything untoward. It's really ****ting me & its actually started to calcium stain the bonnet & windscreen!
Has anyone else had this problem & if so how the hell do u stop it!
Thanks

I've used a needle and poke it into the jets to clear up the clog.
Oh wait, you mean its leaking when you don't use them? Hmm....

Out of curiosity do you use any detergent or treatment or straight out water? Sounds like you could be getting air pockets in the tubes which are forcing the water up to escape. Might sound odd but if you use only straight water, try putting some windscreen cleaning solution in the reservoir. I don't know, it's worth a try.

If your little boys squirty system is airtight and sealed too well it will dribble. I found out that as the engine got hot, it also heated up the squirter bottle water. As it heats up it expands the airspace in the reservoir and any water in the lines makes the little boys dribble. You could try a longer hose /s to the little boys and put a big loop in the line. The water will automatically run back to this loop. It will take a fair bit of pressure to push it back up again. I notice it in my EA after I switch the engine off. 10 seconds later the little boys spit on the bonnet. Try not filling your squirty bottle to the top.
Windscreen washer fluid additives (2-3 capfuls) help by lowering the surface tension and will help as well. They have a small amount of Butyl Glycol in them (same stuff as water absorbing fuel additive).

I have found out what causes this issue - worn seals in the washer jet pump. I just bought a pump for a VT commodore which I think sell for $30 retail (Autospeed did a review on pumps and the VT came out 33% better than our pumps in both psi and mL/min ratings). Fitted it today and not only are the jets much stronger but no more dribble.
Only thing you need to do is make a new harness as the VT one is slightly different from the Magna ones.

3rd gens don't seem to have any valving on the plumbing to the jets... so yeah, if you drive 'enthusiastically' the jets will start dribbling.
1st gen had a valve on the line, dunno about 2nds.
