Hi there. I was putting a cb in, and needed to get the cables through, so thought i might do a write up on how to do it, so when u put power through for ur amp or something, u know what to do. First of all, i needed a mate of mine to help me with getting the actual cable through. In the second picture, u see a rubber boot around a tube. That is where u thread the cables through from the engine bay. I just poked the cable through a bit, until it wouldnt go any further. That was the easy bit.... In the first picture, you will see the antenna cable poking through the yellow thingo. Well that was about a foot away from my face, with my head in the footwell. I had to use a torch to see anything. To get to that hole, u need to take off the glovebox (2 screws at the bottom of it), and a a piece of the trim. From there, I just poked a bit of wire with a hook on the end to pull the cable down. Not that hard once i worked out how to pull the cable down. To get the other cable through, i just taped in on, and then kept pulling. When I put the amp in for my stereo, im gonna bring the power cables through like that. Once you are happy with how far through the cables are, you will need some fire retardant tape. Electrical or duct tape (sometimes known as 100 mile an hour tape :doubt:) doesnt work, as it cant take the heat. My mate had some, and he cant remember where he got it from, but Ill try to find out. Anyway, just thought I would put that in for any other noobs like me, so they dont have to try and fail.

yeh there's a few places to run the a cable through, certainly no need for drillin holes as i have heard of some ppl doing...
I ran my 4gauge power cable next to where the speedo cable comes out

Don't forget to fuse as close as possible to the battery, and ensure there is no chance of the wires getting cut through the engine bay or through the firewall.

Peace

I'll put it to you this way: The power lead goes battery, 10cm wire, 10A fuse, cable to cb. As for cables getting cut in the firwall, I doubt it as they have thick insulation around them, and the cables for the ecu go through there, but thanks for the tips anyway
