View Full Version : You have 600 to spend on a cd player.. What do you do...

Tax return time and now my tape deck needs to be ummm put to rest...

I have 6x9's pioneer 3 ways at tha back got em of ma mate a while back and they were mad in my old car.... (on a panasonic peice of shit deck in a datsun peice of shit 200b...) But now i want something...... better :) any suggestions (any PERTh suggestions would be muchly appreciated) Oh and any non perth suggestions will be appreciated as well :)

i've said it plenty of times, the best value for money CD player out there is just about anything from jvc. i'm sure with $600 you could get one of the ones that has animations and changes colour with MP3, F+R+SUB outputs... and most options only higher end decks have.

My last hu was a panasonic... which the guy swore it was the same quality as say, sony pioneer... yeh great good on ya :P i might say it Wasnt but maybe theyve changed...

anyway yeh i wouldnt mind mp3.... ive got over 5000 on my computer... so eh dunno.. how much fun would it be to put that on cd's...

hahah back to jerry springer... go the coo clucks clan person all in white....

i pretty much tell every1 this but with car stereos, price depreciation is very high. You may spend 600 on a deck, once you walk out with it u may be able to sell it for $350. Buy a second hand deck, u can get a current model deck that is like 2 or 3 months old for half the price. I purchased my deck for $350 and it retails for about $1000. For $600 you can get a very top of the range deck from any of the top brands, ones that would retail for around $1300-$1500. Well i suppose it's upto you but a very good website to look at is caraudioaustralia.com where people are selling second hand car stereo equipment all round aus

an extra $50-100 u can get the 5550 which is by far superior to the 3350

You should beable to pick up the 5550-MP deck from anywhere between $420 - $549
