You should be able to rock it back and forth - if this is TE + you shouldn't have undone the nut completely but it is cool - should just rock back and forth until it comes off - might be stuck as it is a tight fit - cos if it was loose you would have a lose wheel that wouldn't trun properly - just try and pull it off level.

rock away ... bang it around the edges like you are thumping your fists on the horn .. but around the edge... then rock rock rock...
it will pull of pretty easy.
It is a good Idea to make sure the wheels are in the straight ahead position before starting.. also mark witha felt tip pen the top centre so you can re align the new boss...
you may have to play around with the new BOSS kit to get it to center it self..
I found that on my 5 nut boss kit there was a correct way to put it on so that the little grooves line up on the steering column ... other wise you may find that at the exact top of the boss kit is a ridge and not a groove. while on the top center of the column it is ALSO a ridge.. therefore your steering wheel will always be a little one way... (buged the crap out of me..)
so just experiment before tightening everything up F'ing tight.
Good luck

yeah - i forgot to say make sure the wheels are dead ahead when pulling it all off - cos it makesit easier to line everything up with teh new wheels this way!!

AAAGHHH , be CAREFUL. Bangin on or pulling on a wheel can damage the collapsible steering column, a puller should be used. You can get it off most cars by knocking it slightly to free the wheel from the taper on the column but any major force can damage the column and it will need replacement. Another note if you SRS...don't even attempt it.Good luck :)

Good Point...
If he had the Airbag... then it is ILLEGAL to replace it with a NON AirBag steering wheel.
I hope he didnt go poop when it went kapowee :D

When pulling a steering wheel off dont take the nut completely off..so when the steering wheel finally comes off..you dont reef it into your chest..
Done that one before...jesus christ it hurt!
