Picked them up for $120..

Sounds like a good deal.
I got myself a blaupunkt velocity amp (4 x 150RMS) for $250 while it was retailing for $700.
Hasnt given me any trouble.
Blaupunkt make some good gear :D

My only experience with Blau was when I bought a 2001 Opel Vectra a few years back. Was lowered and had a stiff ride. Every bump I hit the cd player skipped. I solved the problem by a whole new stereo upgrade ....... never thought much of them since.
Sounds like a good price though and it all does come down to how you like to hear it.

Didnt you buy some Aldi 6x9's for $50???
And also some tweeters and crossovers for your rear speakers for $30???
lol
Another reason why it pays to spend right the first time.
What you gonna do with the Aldi's?
Good luck with these, hope that's the last of the rear fill upgrades.
Peace

Aldi 6x9's will be installed into a Large Enclosure and used as Party Speakers, you crank them up and if they Blow Who cares.... Last party I went to we used an Old Sony Amp and a set of Clarion 5 1/4 inch splits from my first car.. they lasted a whole 12 hours at riotous levels and sounded great.. then when the Coils Smoked out, we binned them...
The 6x9's should give us better Bass and handle more Power then the 5 1l4 did...
The Blaupunkts will stay around as long as I don't get sick of them...
The Tweeter and Crossover have now been relocated to the Front Doors where my Magnat Classic 6.5 inch Splits are now
( The Original Magnat Tweeter was sold with my last car as I didn't want to mess around removing the Tweeters from the door and selling the car with a Hole in the door)

I guess u likes ur Magnat stuff
I haven't heard of them in car audio before
I do the same with my car speakers (without the blowing up bit)... Used to have my JBL 6x9's as PA devices... DAMN could they wake up festivals, with me on the mic in my car and the 6x9's boxed up sitting on my roof...
lol
Peace

The above is the address for the magnat Site S_tim_ulate..
I would have gone Magnat in this Magna again but my Outlet lost their account in a move and it is hard to get another one..
I may go factory direct as Magnat are about the same Quality as Alpine or Eclipse in their top of the range gear while thier Budget line is as good as Pioneer but at the price of Axis or Megavox..
For Example, My last set of Bullpower 216 6 inch splits cost $130 and were really good sounding and my Bullpower 693 3-way 6x9's cost $160 and sounded unreal..
Magnat mainly make Home theatre at a premium Quality and price...

The GTX 693's have a Transparent Black Cone, Kinda like a heavily smoked take-away container lid..
I was going to put some Neon or LED's underneath them and make an really cool night time visuall display, now I know Glow outside the car is illegal, I was wondering if I got some red or Orange ones and wired them up to the Brake or the Indicator circut would this get around the law as technically they would then function as Turn signals or Brake lights ??
