I found my front passenger floor well really wet from all the rain we've just have I've checked around the seal of the door but can't see where the waters coming in from before I start ripping up the carpet and checking the floor pan has anyone else had this problem before?

never in my magna, but my sigma and valiant did.
remove the side strips off the front window and check the seams on the tar adgesive to the glass, mainly around the bottom and top, sometimes if it's cracked or parted it can leak and travel thru the plastic strips on the inside of the car leading to the carpet.
my experience anyway.
Edit: actually my sisters magna had those plugs in the bottom of the door, and what would happen is the water would fill the door, then seap thru the plastic and door trim through the small speaker hole sections, so it would stay within the inner door because the rubber sealed the inbetween.
so check ure door trim.

my water comes in thru the roof antenna and drips on my right arm from the roof.
my old falcon leaked water onto the clutch pedel, which apparently was common from a bad design in the way the water runs off from the bonnet area near the windshield (dripped there even when i just washed it).
At a stab, id say it would have to be something from air system (cos all that **** is on that side), but it might be easier if u give it a wash or something and then u can try n spot the leak and follow it back.

My front passenger door seal is a bit dodgy around the mirror area. I noticed I'd get some water coming in from that direction over the door trim and dripping onto the floor. Not as bad as what you've described though, just enough to notice.
So I had a look at the outer door seal and it has some sort of weird "tabbed" bits on seal that "poke" into the door around that area, if that makes any sense. I just re-arranged the rubber back to what I thought would be the best sealing location.
Have a look and see if yours could be leaking from there. I haven't noticed any more water leaking in from that area, but it hasn't exactly pelted down in my area since, so it's yet to face its rain test.

After reading the post above, had another thought, check the water channels on the roof, see if theres rust holes along that, and if there are water can get thru there, due to it being in the middle of the door rubber, sometimes it can by pass the rubber and seap thru.

TN wagon used to have a small leak at top of windscreen, just behind the mirror.
Took off the trim strip outside & sealed the area up with silicone.

Thanks guys once the rain stops I'll have a good look it was so wet I pulled the rubber mat up and there was some fungus starting to grow  so it must have been wet for quite a while with out me knowing!!!
Why don't you just sit inside your car with all the doors etc sealed and get a family member to apply the water hose all over the front end and roof of your car? You will know where it's coming from then for sure.

Magna's Ark
thatd be a fun project actually, hollow out a first gen wagon as much as possible, plug up the doors and put it in a creek. could have your own luxury mini liner

its driping from the window seal. a common problem with magnas is the frame in which the window sits on rusts away, if u wana fix it do what i did.. cut it away and make a frame from steel strips, a welder and some fiber glass. thats what i did and my cars water tight around the windows
good luck with the repair im fairly sure thats ur problem
