Can anyone help.
I have a TJII AWD Sports.
Around the ignition key barrel is a plastic ring.
Should this light up when a door is opened.
According to Phil Giblet this model does not have this feature.
Can anyone else who has an AWD Sports please check and let me know!!
:doubt:

Just ran down to the garage and checked my TJ II AWD Sports - no light around the ignition barrel :) .
So you may rest assured - unless they ripped me off too!!

same case here, also same thing with the front driver and passeger foot lights.
These features are only avalable in verada only, i think.
But yeah its really cheapo saving stuff and might cost mitsu only few extra $$ to put these in.
It might cost you few hundred if you get it from dealer i think.

Wire up some LEDs to your interior light circuit & bung them behind the green ring.

Mine does not light up. My old TE lit up. I never look at the barrel to insert the key anyway, its pretty intuitive unlike some other cars which is well hidden behind the steering wheel.

You sure? Mine does. As soon as I press the green button on the remote, the blinkers light up for
a sec or two and all the interior lights light up and stay lit until I start the car up (including the key
light. Also, as soon as I pull the key out, all the lights come on again until I press the red button
on the remote.

All the other lights light up as yours does but im pretty sure it doesnt have ignition barrel light(will ceck again in the dark). Also is there any chance of getting picture of your interior trim? Really want warm silver instead of the woodgrain.

The key barrel light is a light blue/greyish light similar in colour to the stereo system light.
I've posted my pics in three threads already  . One is in the 3rd gen pics thread.
