Maybe get them to do your HU if you are unsure about it...
But Id be doing my own speakers as they are pretty simple and can use the existing speaker wires to save costs...
When they install the HU they could also hook up the existing speaker wires to the new HU.

Three way will have the main driver and then two smaller drivers sitting in there as part of the speaker assembly. Splits are the main driver which has aseccond speaker 'split' from it with the signal passing through a passive crossover to filter high range from mid range. Typically used on, but not limited to, round speakers up the front. The split tweater can be positioned seperatly as it's sound is directional so you can achieve a better sound stage. 3-way are not necessarily better than 2-way speakers.

Also in most cases the reason fo rthe 6x9 are for people who dont have a sub..
and unless you regulary have people siting in the back then 6x9 would be fine... 6" splits in back would only be good for the back seat passengers.
6" splits in the front are preffered as they gice you a good range of mids and highs...
a 3way split ... will give you a low mid and high sound and will sound the best... but of course you will pay a bit for a 3 way split.

the front speakers need to be cut into the door trim so will let them do that so it looks all professional

the rear ones i could prob do myself :?
how difficult are they to fit?
would save money

Well actually 51/4 inch splits are better for the front than six's as the sixes will produce more midrage, that's what the 6x9s will do in the back, so using the 51/4 inch splits in the front will give you a much nicer vocal and top end sound than 6's will. I use Focal Utopias in the front of my TJ but I would expect you to buy them they are $1,000 a set.

Have fun

and dont by 6X9's, use 5" all the way arond (X4) then have a sub in boot.... Remember, "U" want to hear the music, put the loudest stuff at the FRONT of the car...

The worst example,

Front 5" - running off the head unit
Rear 6x9's - running off BIG amp, or head unit
Subby - Running off the Same BIG amp

this is a shit system.... to much crappy bass, + uneven distortion.. CRAP

jst impress ure self first, then worry bout the people that use u as a taxi.
