Howdy fella's.

Well the other day when i was installing my under car neons i was under the car for some time and while i was under i noticed that on the inside of my right hand front tyre / rim there was a ton of grease.

i've been having a problem with my brakes for some time where the front (sounds like its comming from the right) often makes a grinding noise and doesn't feel to flash through the pedal and its sometimes quite spongy...

I've checked all the pads and they have plenty of bite, it is apparently that im leaking something.... Any idea's what it could be?

its probably your CV joint needs replacing before greese goes all over the place

When the CV joints are starting to go they start making a ticking sound while turning - does you car have this noise?? mind you you should still find where the grease is coming from !! I can have a look this arvo see if i cant find it for you when i cruise around.

I had a CV joint replaced about a month ago (think it was the front left) so that doesn't explain why there would be grease inside the rim... Im thinking either brake fluid (i havn't noticed any disapearing) or perhaps the shock is leaking....

If it's brake fluid the paint will be stuffed anywhere it's been and the fluid level will be down in the resevoir [spelling]. If it's a strut loosing oil it will have mushy suspension that will most likely bottom out very easily, btw, I thought your car would have gas struts in it. I think it's the grease out of the CV joint, you've had the brakes hot and althought he grease is high temperature bearing [HTB] grease when you get it very hot it will still break down into a semi oil sort of thing, the oil will generally slide right past the boots and you have it all over your inner wheel and suspension. If it were me I'd clean it and keep an eye on it for more leakage and be vigilant for the previously mentioned clicking, if it continues I'd get the grease and boot replaced.
